In Apple Blossom Time

Spring is just the bloomiest time of year, isn’t it? It’s really quite grand. Our giant old heirloom apple trees are bursting into full blossom now, and the fragrance wanting through the air is just heavenly.

When our Grammy was in highschool in the ’40s, she says she and her friends would pin apple blossoms or pear blossoms in their hair with bobby pins and wear them to class, if they could get them to stay in.

Random side note: Did you know that chickens love moss? They’ve been devouring it off the apple tree trunks every chance they get!
